Adirondack Daily Enterprise

SARANAC LAKE - Patricia Allott, Nurse Practitioner, has joined the rheumatology practice overseen by Richard Handler, M.D., at Adirondack Medical Center.

Most recently Allott provided care for patients at AMC's Tupper Lake Health Center. She has more than 10 years experience as a nurse practitioner, backed up by 30 years of experience as a registered nurse. The majority of her RN experience is in the critical care setting of adult and pediatric intensive care units. After completing advanced education, a nurse practitioner may diagnose a condition, prescribe medications, order laboratory or medical imaging tests, and refer patients to a specialist. She is certified as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and is certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and Advance Cardiac Life Support.

Patricia will provide primary care and rheumatology services for Dr. Handler's practice, which is affiliated with AMC and continues to accept new patients.
