SARANAC LAKE - There were no bids again at the second auction for the former Camp Gabriels.
The state will continue to try to sell the former minimum-security prison. Thomas Pohl, a lawyer for the state Office of General Services, said at the bid opening at the Harrietstown Town Hall Thursday that the next step could be reaching out to other state authorities such as the Dormitory Authority, which provides financing, construction and related services to public universities and other state and nonprofit institutions.
