SARANAC LAKE - The Plattsburgh girls soccer team scored a goal in each half on the way to a 2-0 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference victory over Saranac Lake on Monday.
Red Storm goalkeeper Regan Kieffer made 17 saves in the game as Plattsburgh held a 19-10 shot advantage.
Emma Deshaies scored the first goal at the 26:03 mark on an assist by Brooke Night. Megan Godzek-Shea tallied with 26:14 left in the second half on a pass from Madison Trombley.
Plattsburgh goalie Emily Schultz recorded the shutout with seven saves
Saranac Lake fell to 4-8-2 with the loss, while Plattsburgh improved to 9-3-1.
