KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii - Logan Franks, a 23-year-old SUNY Plattsburgh student and former Keeseville resident and AuSable Valley graduate, finished 51st overall at the 2010 Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii on Saturday, Oct. 9. Franks swam in 1:07, biked the 112-mile course in 4:47 and ran the marathon in 3:01:54. His overall time of 9:02:19 placed him second in his age group. His marathon time of 3:01:54 was the fastest time run by an American at this year's race. To qualify for Kona, Franks finished 11th overall at Ironman USA in Lake Placid and first in his age group.
