TUPPER LAKE - For the first time in more than a decade, a Tupper Lake tradition will be back in action this fall with an Oktoberfest-style event at the Big Tupper Ski Area.
The Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce, Adirondack Residents Intent on Saving Their Economy and the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts are teaming up to hold Octupperfest from noon to 5 p.m. this Sunday.
The groups are "trying to bring back an event that has a lot of history," said ARISE Chairman Jim LaValley.

Organizers are working on lining up food and craft vendors and bands to entertain the crowds. Vendors interested in participating should contact the chamber at 518-359-2434.
The event is designed to be pet-friendly. There will be pageants, games and contests for animals accompanying their owners.
There will also be a Mountain Mud Run, a footrace along the trails around the mountain that will be about 5 miles.
