Two crashes in half-hour on Whiteface Inn Lane

LAKE PLACID - It was a busy 30 minutes on Whiteface Inn Lane.

First, three people had minor injuries as a sport-utility vehicle rolled over there around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The three occupants of the Toyota 4Runner were all outside the vehicle when rescue personnel arrived, according to the Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department. The Lake Placid Volunteer Ambulance Service transported them to Adirondack Medical Center-Lake Placid for treatment of minor injuries.

A second crash happened around 11:53, also on Whiteface Inn Lane, while volunteers were at the scene of the first one - a vehicle struck a rock. This driver appeared to have suffered some type of medical emergency, and Lake Placid ambulance brought the driver to AMC-Lake Placid as well.
