The Arts Council for the Northern Adirondacks recently announced the recipients of the 2010 Developing Community Arts Grants awarded to arts and cultural nonprofit organizations in Essex and southern Franklin counties which include the following:
The Arts Council for the Northern Adirondacks has awarded $34,000 among 19 arts and cultural organizations putting on projects in Essex and Southern Franklin xounties in 2010, through the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Decentralization Program. This program, also called Developing Community Arts (DCA) Grants administrated by ACNA in Essex and Southern Franklin counties, distributes state art funds and encourages local involvement in funding decisions affecting community cultural organizations and programs.
The next deadline for 2011 DCA is early October 2010.
