Skater punished, will miss OlympicsArticle Photos
MOSCOW (AP) - Russian figure skater Andrei Lutai will miss the Winter Olympics after receiving a one-year ban for allegedly stealing a car in Lake Placid and driving it while drunk.
Russian Figure Skating Federation chief Valentin Piseyev imposed the ban, saying Wednesday that Lutai's suspension is for "violations of the training regime and ethical norms."
Police in Lake Placid said Lutai stole a car from a service station there late Sunday, Nov. 15 and drove it for several minutes before officers pulled him over. He was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
Lutai had just finished 10th at Skate America in Lake Placid.

This young man was an embarrassment to his country. Mr. Piseyev should be well-regarded, having done the job (or part of), which should have been taken care of here by Ms. Garcia and our local court, then back to his country.

Our country should do the same for all the sports when they find a dirty player in any of the sports first time ban them one year next time for life. They should all be tested every time they play that would be the trade for their outragous salerys tell the unions to lay-down.
