North Star expands its gambling treatment and prevention program

SARANAC LAKE - North Star Chemical Dependency Services have expanded their Gambling Treatment Program to include a new Gambling Prevention Program.

The services are another component of Citizen Advocates, Inc., North Star Family of Services, a not for profit agency based in Malone. Jill Vaughan is leading the new prevention effort, as the Gambling and Community Outreach Prevention Specialist for the agency. ties do so responsibly, we cannot ignore that gambling can be a risky behavior, especially for our youth, which makes prevention, education and the availability of treatment services so important," Lawyer said.
