In addition to the debates, both Gillibrand and Treadwell plan to spend the month of October traveling the 10-county district and meeting with constituents. Treadwell is touring currently; he started his tour last week in Lake Placid. Gillibrand, the incumbent running for a second term, is in Washington this month, as Congress is in session.

The district includes all or part of Saratoga, Dutchess, Columbia, Rensselaer, Warren, Washington, Essex, Greene, Delaware and Otsego counties.
