LPCA seeks artists for annual Adirondack Juried Art Show

Artwork can be dropped off Sept. 17 through Sept. 20

LAKE PLACID - The annual Adirondack Juried Art Show, which showcases regional artists, will be on display at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts from Sept. 26 through Nov. 1, and artists are invited to drop off up to two works from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 17 through 20. A $20 non-refundable entry fee does apply.

The juried show is open to artists of all media, including photography, sculpture, painting, drawing, fiber, ceramics, woodcrafts, jewelry, prints and constructions. Approximately $1,000 in cash and gift certificates will be awarded.

Best of Show artist will be highlighted in a short televised feature story on Mountain Lake Journal on Mountain Lake PBS, and the top three winners of the juried show will have the opportunity to share an exhibition in the LPCA North Gallery in the coming year and be featured in the LPCA's online newsletter.

There will be an opening reception and awards presentation from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26 at the LPCA. The 2008 Show is sponsored in part by Mountain Lake PBS.
