Should have mentioned that crash victim didn’t wear seat belt
To the editor:
My family and I were involved in an accident on Route 3 in Harrietstown on 8/12 which subsequently appeared on your front page. While your facts were for the most part correct, your omission of the Subaru driver's failure to wear her seat belt did the public a disservice. All in my vehicle and the vehicle of the driver at fault wore theirs and received no serious injury. We can't predict when things like this will happen, but we can be proactive in insuring that we and those we love have the best chance of a good outcome. That poor woman's only fault was being in the wrong place at that time. Had she worn her belt instead of fastening it behind her, her injuries would most likely have been far less grievous.

the enterprise should investigate all accidents it plans to do a story on and find out about seat belt useage and print the facts also state and local police should go out of their way to release it i have a daughter who wore her seatbelt sometimes until she got a ticket and it cost her close to 100 dollars now she always wears her seatbelt so a message to all police ...............write the ticket you can make a difference the results may not be readily noticeable to you, but the results of not writing that ticket may be noticeable when you investigate the next fatal accident when someone is not wearing their seat belt and you have to go tell their family all the while wondering if this all could have been avoided by one person writing one ticket

I understand the importance of wearing a seat belt. I always wear mine, but this accident wouldn't have happened if you tourists learned how to drive.
