Police investigate possible abduction attempt
SARANAC LAKE - The Saranac Lake Police Department is investigating a possible abduction attempt after a man approached four young boys and asked them to help him find his missing son.
According to police, the incident occurred at noon on Tuesday when the man pulled up next to the boys asking if they had seen a young boy on a bicycle, saying that it was his missing son. Police said the man then asked the youngest of the four boys to accompany him in the search. According to police, there was no report of a missing child during this time.
The man is described as young looking and having acne on his face. He was wearing a green sweatshirt, green cargo pants and worn out looking trail shoes. He was reportedly driving a small red pickup truck. Anybody having information is asked to contact village police at 891-4422.
