John ‘Jeb’ Button

ATLANTA, Ga. — John Edward “Jeb” Button ll, of Cumming, Ga., died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Emory University Hospital at 3:30 a.m. after battling lung cancer.

He was born Dec. 25, 1957 in Saddle River, N.J., the son of Ann and Jack Button.

“Jeb” was a graduate from Saddle River Country Day School. He joined and went into business with his father, Jack Button.

Jeb was involved in the Josline Diabetes Foundation. He lived in Northern New Jersey, Lake Placid, N.Y. and Miami, Fla. before settling in the greater Atlanta, Ga. area in 1989, where he was president of Button Brokerage. He is survived by his lovely wife, Debra; his mother and father; Ann and Jack Button of Lake Placid and Vero Beach, Fla; his sisters: Debbi Virgillo of Leesburg, Va., Pam Button of Lake Placid, N.Y. and Melissa Longosz of Atlanta, Ga.; his step-children: Teri Nolter of Alpharetta, Ga., Jason Link of Bickley, Ga; and five granddaughters: Tymber, Grace, Julia, Maddox and Sara.

A memorial service will be held at J.H. Patterson at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15. Family visitation will be held at 10 a.m. The location of the service is at 4550 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30319.
