Only worked "Business 2 Business" (except 4 a storefront that had been a "front" for a few months earlier in this millennium) -- B2B rule is - as a sun-contractor - "The Customer is almost never right."

But to each his own -- best of luck to those who choose to cater to the local hoi-polloi -- & by all means contract "NECG" - they are the best -- I wonder what concoction they had in mind to "Brand" for Trudeau PharmCo down there in Kannapolis? --

oops - make that "Port St. Lucie." Mayor Rabs, you had been fed the "straight dope" - the "Sunbelt City" had been of little consequence. I wonder if that young woman from Kannapolis NC who had written to the ADE in search of her dad had been successful ??

"Shea's Law?" nice one, NYS Assembly/Senate... years "after the fact." Short-term memory persists, but not amongst those in the local "Care" biz who fear job loss if they b

--contd -- (yo OWEB - how about a "character counter" or "Preview" function 4 this archaic "commentz" stuff?) ".....if they become vocal."

Crowley? We will continue to be "Winging It" -- Knight will have the story which you had refused.....

eccentrics unite....

we do need to fill empty storefronts...with clyde as mayor i have seen momentum that has been missing for a long time.the time is right to move forward!!!i cannot believe that people are against the lake flower hotel!a story written recently that was written against the hotel was written by a transplant who has no history with the area.the 1950's were bleak as far as employment is concerned.the transplants must realize that we have seen saranac lake as poverty stricken for decades. the prisons have been our savior.so please don't throw rocks at our slow march forward.if you can't join us, then please say kinder things about our progress

Well said Concerned. No doubt Clyde has made more progress as Mayor than anyone in recent history. However, I have huge ethical concern, perhaps even moral distrust in some of his recent adventure deals. Kelly Duffy needs to continue his quest....albeit WNBZ 'talk-of-the-town' has booted him.....He Has FIRST HAND knowledge.. and is not being heard!

Exactly what progress has clyde made. just because something happens during someone's term doesn't mean they are responsible

The Lake Flower Hotel project absolutely needs to happen. Will it be LARGE? Yes it will be large, but put this into prospective. This proposal will be built in the small corner of a man-made bay and will shelter very few from scenery (that some feel are entitled to). Will parking be a concern? YES..It is a primary concern! Do you FOLD the project because of a major concern? Sometimes, but in this case NO!!! Perfect time to collaborate with D.O.T. and get that NBT intersection RE-DESIGNED and built!!!!

Tourism is where it's at folks....Tupper and Saranac Lakes' need to tap the resource that's right in front of us....Figure out the marketing and design and we sell our own beauty with little investment yet gain a HUGE R.O.I.!!! HUMAN CAPITAL is the missing link here folks!

The AMA property annexation was his (I think). The Bio-tech businesses that moved here last year are his (I think). The Village Office moving to Town Hall was his (I think). Assisting in the Lake Flower side walk and Route 86 re-paving is part of his (I Know). So many more recreation events are his - I KNOW! The SL Sixer deal is his (I Think). Don't want to spend any more thinking about Clyde; Point being: He has earned many 'Badges' for his initiative and energy.

When bad things happen during a mayor's term, the mayor gets the blame. But when good things happen, does the mayor get the credit?

I think both happen with many elected positions. that's why a superficial view of blaming or praising the person in office is shortsighted.

Was 911 bush's fault? I'd say no. Was the fall of the Berlin wall to Reagan's credit, again I'd say no, or at least no more than to those who ruled before him.
