Feds let contractor take money and run

January 17, 2014

Take the money and run. That may well be the motto of officials at CGI Federal, the company that botched the rollout of the Obamacare website — www.healthcare.gov — last fall....

It's pretty well established to anyone who can read a full sentence that bush-Cheney lied and used fabricated "evidence" to take us into an unnecessary war with no strategy to finish. Obama has ordered extra-judicial assassinations and expanded the killing of innocents with drones.

If it's "ultra leftness" and Obama is a socialist why would I point at him. Obama is quite possibly worse than Bush though for none of the reasons the right wing gives.

But maybe you're right. Believing in human rights (not corporate) and uncorrupted representative government is pretty far to left these days.

Pretty high accusations there Wondering. Since you cannot prove your rantings, we will take it as the wildness of your uber-ultra leftness.

For Cheney, no not assassination that never accomplishes any thing, the next one up just uses that as an excuse for even more abuse of their power, much like they did after 9/11. But due process followed by execution or at least life in prison would have been justice served.

You're right that neither Bush or Obama will ever be prosecuted for their crimes but merely being out of office doesn't absolve one of crimes committed while president. Of course Obama will never allow Bush to be held accountable. He doesn't want to set a precedent since he's as guilty of murder as Bush.

How should Dick Cheney have been "buried"? Are you suggesting assassination, Wondering? How would Obama and Bush be prosecuted? One is out of office, and is protected that way, the other is in office and will never be proven to have sufficient grounds for impeachment. He is King now.

"Democrats and Republicans are two heads on the same snake. They are ALL the same!"

That is exactly my point. Obama and Bush should be sharing the same cell in prison and Cheney should have been buried a long time ago.

Many of our congress-people would be convicted felons if law were enforced. Democrat Dianne Feinstein's husband is reaping huge profits from the pillaging of the postal system.

Wondering, No bid contracts with Halliburton started long before the Bush administration. Also, when it comes to disaster relief and clean up, do you really expect a contractor to have to go through the months or even year(s) long drawn out bureaucratic bidding process before starting the cleanup and rebuilding? This is nothing new. Democrats and Republicans are two heads on the same snake. It's ignorant, utterly ridiculous, to blame one any more than the other, and I would say its downright stupid to think that only one party has special interests in the corporate world. Give me a break! They are ALL the same!

Nothing new here, Halliburton, Bechtel, KBR have been bilking the government with rigged bidding, faulty construction and shoddy work for years both at home (Katrina) and abroad (Iraq). Dick Cheney was receiving $150,000/yr from former employer Halliburton while they were being awarded what amounted to no-bid contracts. Yes the cozy relationship between large corporations with government contracts and federal officials should be exposed and people should be going to prison, but we all know that won't happen because royalty don't pay for their crimes.
