Agreed DW, we have had outstanding females representing the community, and still do...........I don't understand the ADE making the local leadership a 'Gender' issue. What would people think if you called for a more male dominance at the local level? Qualified folk need to run for those whom which they wish to represent, regardless of gender! Want to keep discrimination and prejudice out of our society? Stop making it an issue, because it really isn't here!

We've had some outstanding females representing Saranac Lake. Gail Rogers Rice, Margaret Campion and Barb Rice to name a few. It is not the voters fault that more women do not run for office or get elected. Qualified women need to throw their hat in the ring to be elected.
