@ bjccd5. I guess you think everyone that snowmobiles is a drunk- for your information I was not referring to alcohol at all. We, nor do any friends we ride with drink and drive. I was referring to the fact that you go a few miles get pulled over by one agency get out all your documents and show them, you go a few more miles and you get pulled over again to show the same documents. We actually got a ticket because our registration was not on correct spot on my sled. I was born in Tupper Lake and moved out and I guess the Town was left with people with your mentality- boy that has really helped Tupper move forward, LOL. Take a good hard look around, the Town and Village look horrible and are both dying a slow death. So keep thinking like you do- automatically say we don’t want people like you here so good if you stay away, total ignorance. We will oblige your kind of thinking and take our money to places that welcome snowmobilers.

Bikes and sleds need to be registered and most of the time insured. Sober operation is a no-brainer...So where's the problem???? Come here w/ properly registered recreational vehicles, ride the trails and do the runs w/out being too drunk and spend & enjoy the Adirondack experience. If ones perception of riding while 'wasted' should be ok, than please don't ever come back...thanks for staying home "UnionsOutofcontrol", appreciate your non-business and recklessness done elsewhere.

The Village and Town need to tell the police (all agencies) to back off the snowmobilers. We will not come to the Tupper Lake area anymore becasue they harass you, just like they do at Americaid in Lake George we stopped going to that too.

Snowmobiling is one of those outdoor activities that the participants actually spend real money in our towns. They need fuel, stop to buy food, sleep in hotels, and so on. Tupper Lake will have to have a place people can buy snowmobile parts and things like that though. Nothing more frustrating than being hours away from parts and services. Locals may be aware of locals who have parts but there need to be an actual shop.

Unfortunately, the 'Star's are aligned' and this makes far too much sense for it to actually happen. NYS rarely does ANYTHING that makes sense. I challenge the State to prove me wrong on this one!!!

It's a no brainer. Pull up the tracks. Memories and nostalgia are fine, but tying up an economic powerhouse in favor of a novelty train ride is crazy!
