EDITOR: Re the story about licensing rights for Saranac Lake 6er beer - why isn't "Saranac Lake 6er" listed as a trademark name on the US Patent & Trademarks office website? Is your story accurate that the Village has gotten a trademark for that name? And isn't a trademark only supposed to be sued "for commerce"? Is the Village engaging in commerce with this, and is that legal?

This whole "SL 6er" saga needs to be investigated more! Allegations are being thrown all over and defended at the same time. Someone is lying and the truth needs to be told!!! Not a personal fan of Gillis, but have never trusted Clyde or VanCott either. Get the truth out Allie, you might just be the next Mayor!!!

And to the gentleman who asked why the college abandoned their master plan for renovating the college: That would be because the counties reneged on their commitment to fund half of it, 1/4 each county. The other half would have come from the state but money is likely lost now. I have to laugh when I read one of our illustrious legislators say they support the college. Burpoe is the only one who ever showed any support for NCCC.
