Obama & Co are buying a monopoly on violence:

Congress has opened investigations into why the Department of Homeland Security is buying 1,000 rounds of ammunition more per employee than the U.S. Army buys for soldiers. "The purchases raise "serious" questions about waste and accountability." DHS currently has stockpiled more than 260 million rounds. Is DHS is buying up ammo to dry up the civilian market?

I'd like to make perfectly clear that I'm not anti-police. The police are a very necessary part of our society. I'm against the use of para-military style raids which are carried out for seemingly routine law enforcement.

CIB is actually spot on. Look at the militarization of our police. Police should be there to protect, serve, maintain law and order.

Para-Military style tactics are used against companies like the Gibson Guitar company which was raided by FBI agents over the illegal transport of wood. Swat teams raid private residences over IRS or tax fraud allegations. It seems like every time a search warrant needs to be executed, even for non-violent drug offenders or something, they call out a swat team.

Is that right? IDK? I agree that threat's and violence have increased there are very crazy people out there and Police should be prepared. The lord knows I want them to be ready if we ever need them. But does the LAPD and NYPD really need surface to air missile batteries?

Bush was so wrong to fight the terrorists in their land this is so much better! Obama response we must ban the private ownership of semi-auto rifles. America you are at war the War is here and your elected president is weak and the terrorists know it!

I wonder what constitutionally guaranteed rights Prince Andrew and Obama will demand we surrender after Boston? “Any government that wants a monopoly on violence is a threat to liberty.”

Come to think of it we’d be better off if Pete Crowley was pulling the trigger than what we have now.

We know who attacked us in Libya on the anniversary of Sept 11. We know how and why they murdered four Americans. The FBI has even posted pictures of the Terrorists on the inter-net. We also know that nothing is going to be done about it. So why bother.

And how to we guard against this from happening again? The ADE orders drone strikes on American Citizens who have never been even charged with a crime? Why not we’ve done that before.

An American city on "Lock-Down" under attack by foreign terrorists. The citizens hiding from terror in their homes at the mercy of their attackers because their right to use a firearm to protect themselves has been stripped away. Fantasy? No this is reality TV!

The Boston bombing provided the opportunity for the government to turn what should have been a police investigation into a military-style occupation of an American city. This unprecedented move should frighten us as much or more than the attack itself.

Force lockdown of a city. Militarized police riding tanks in the streets. Door-to-door armed searches without warrant. Families thrown out of their homes at gunpoint to be searched without probable cause. Businesses forced to close. Transport shut down. A far off banana republic? Boston USA!
