May 1, 2013

No nation on earth has an armored vehicle capable of standing up to the U.S. Abrams tank. On conventional battlefields, it is virtually unbeatable....

"If we had our choice, we would use that money in a different way," said Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno.

We spend far too much of GDP on weapons of aggression, oh I'm sorry. I meant defense. Bot totally apart from that you know the nuts are running the asylum when the army chief of staff doesn't have a say in how their budget will be spent.

Great points PC, but I'd rather you point out the LOCAL Waste!!! WE, can't do a thing about the Military weapon dilemma, but YOU CAN (if you choose to) bring out the WASTE in out LOCAL Non-Profit organizations that spend mega-dollars on administrative costs and crap for the front line workers. Please get your award winning staff to investigate a little here!!!!!!!!!!

If somebody in 'readership land' can point me in the right direction, I will Initiate an investigation into our local blood sucking agencies that feel they can pay administration at the same level as corporate America, yet screw the people that perform the daily duties.

LKLuzern, The DOD doubled since 2008? Is that some special 'Republican Math' you are using or are you just parroting something your alcoholic uncle was spouting off at Easter Dinner? The US deficit to GDP ratio has gone from about 10% in 2009 to about 5% in 2012, still trending down. Fiscally we are in good shape as referenced to the ten year budget window, THAT THE HOUSE PASSED. Everyone talking about the end of the world because of our debt is either selling a book or trying to get ratings or votes. We need to get our financial house in order, and we are, Republicans are just making it more difficult than it has to be. And they will continue to drag their feet so things look as dire as possible for 2014, we should not reward them.

Gee, I thought he was talking about Bush, the name Goober fits him, either that or Gomer.

Not that bama has been any better, just more of the same. He just showed his true nature again by appointing a known bank scammer as his head of commerce.

t the top of the two parties there really is not much difference though the rank and file repubs are more amusing with raving lunatics like Ted cruzand michele bachman.

Esox Totally agree with you!! Goober of Mayberry fame is striking resemblance to Dubya - George Bush. Prior to 2000 the DOD was about 300 Billion a year. Fiscal 012 was about 671 billion.

Esox - correction Fiscal 2009 was 515 Billion - excluding Iraq which to date is another mere 760 Billion.

The difference between Goober and Dubya is that Goober was just acting clueless.
