Sequester time

March 4, 2013

The sequester is upon us, and the federal government is having to make cuts that Congress members agreed on as a harsh backup measure, in case they proved incapable of a better solution....

Haha, that's right prober keep telling yourself that what you've already written is not what it clearly says. You confuse talking tough with maculinity but then you are generally confused so I'm not surprised.

Omar, do you mean something like "blacks commit more crimes in proportion to their population percentage? Silly point but no sillier than yours.

Try to remember who have killed millions of God`s creations before they were allowed the life given them by God, it wasn`t conservatives or capitalists.

Have you watched C Span, ever? Gone to a government meeting? I said white men hold positions of power out of proportion to their numbers in the population. Which is statistically true. I am aware of Marco Rubios existence, but one well known Hispanic politician isn't much considering that theyre about 15 percent of the population.

prober, "I merely pointed out the fact the men have become so confused many have become gay in the process of being afraid to be a real man"

Again it's you who need to read better. No one said the country is run solely but white males but even someone as myopic as you should be able to see that they dominate the positions of power.

And you often contradict yourself in your rush to condemn all points of view contrary to yours as either leftist or socilialist. In an earlier post you admitted the wars in Iraq and Afgan were/are unnecessary and a drain on the country but now you claim "Leftist have bankrupted the country monetarily" At least try to be consistent in your absurdity.

If you can't tell that your words state that a gay man is not a real man then it's you that needs to read your own posts

Never will the left encompass the whole society because if they do, it will make their causes less important. Animals, black people, the sacred tree(sic), the granola lover, women, abortion, and Socialism(giving to those that are able but lazy). Now BACK to the statement that bodes to the topic. We have given away the store. We are broke. Leftist have bankrupted the country monetarily and morally.

Wow you people don't read very well. I never said that gay males aren't real men. I typed that men have become so frustrated with being emasculated in society, that many have BECOME gay Read next time. AND If you think that the whole country is run solely by white men, you are as much an idiot as you type. Also, a real man provides respect, no matter the sex, religion, sexual preference and so on. Get it right. You people's leftist views have clouded your thinking processes. Think about this. Up and comers like Marco Rubio is the future. He is not a white man. Gawd you people are blind to your impression of oppression and abuses to groups. See, that is what is wrong with the left, they see only the narrow vision of the so called oppressed, and never the whole picture. Lefties will cherry pick little feel good causes and build a whole fantasy surrounding it and create a warm fuzzy blanket to wrap themselves in. Then with militant force, shout out their caring and try to make you care.

This country's run by white men. In proportion to their numbers in the population, they're vastly over-represented in politics, business, in higher income brackets. How can anyone seriously think that white people are beleaguered or treated poorly by society? It's ridiculous.

Yah you're probably right about Reagan although he wouldn't be seen as rightwing enough to get the nomination with today's GOP. But Nixon established the EPA and advocated universal healthcare. Both considered lefty issues and he even committed the travesty of working with an avowed liberal, Ted Kennedy on getting it passed. But his paranoia led to watergate and scuttled any hope he had of pushing that through.

Of course your assertion that gay men are somehow not real men is absurd. As is your laughable belief that the white male is persecuted in american society. Certainly some while males are persecuted. In a country with the ever widening vast gulf between the megarich and the rest of us it's not hard to find victims. But as a group it would be a tough argument to support given that economically they fare better than both non-causcasian males and white females.

If you truly believe that Obama is right of Reagan or Nixon, You must be farther left than Greenpeace. Obama is extremely left and the results of his antics display that. OR he merely a puppet and the Lefties under him run the show. that's right, he is in full campaign mode ever since his playpen days in the Illinois Thug Legislature. Ever lived in Illinois? You would love it there! Also I never said that men who hit are cowards, they are what they are. I merely pointed out the fact the men have become so confused and frustrated at the emasculation of the mere nature of being mail, that many have become gay in the process of being afraid to be a real man and provide the respect to both sexes, equally. Forget that the culture has denigrated white men since the days of All In The Family, it is socially acceptable to make white men feel they are the last in the food chain.

prober, I'm fully in agreement with your last post except "men that have become so frustrated at being emasculated that they have to beat women" Yes the frustration leads some to lash out at the weak or defenseless but that's the act of a coward, plain and simple.

Your points in other psots though, Obama far left? Compared to what? He's to the right of Reagan and Nixon.

There is a bipartisan filibuster occurring right now in the U.S. Senate, against the nomination of Brennan for CIA director. The filibuster will continue until holder, brennan and obama concede that no American will be murdered by drones on American soil. "'I will speak until I can no longer speak,' Paul said. 'I will speak as long as it takes, until the alarm is sounded from coast to coast that our Constitution is important, that your rights to trial by jury are precious, that no American should be killed by a drone on American soil without first being charged with a crime, without first being found to be guilty by a court.'" How far have we come from the Constitution that this could even be a question?!

AND BS issues like , yes, gay marriage, gun control, and distract the public into believing that created by men "rights" are more important than the children and mothers that have to starve for food everyday, or the men that have become so frustrated at being emasculated that they have to beat women, we have lost our way. Honor is lost. Responsibility is lost. No political party is the savior of this country.

We have lost the intelligence in this country to differentiate between helping your neighbor and hurting him(her). we have stopped treating young adults as adults, and created a whole slue (class) of children between the ages of 18 to 21. When we did that, (removing the 18 drinking age) we created a new class of psychological welfare recipients. 18 year old adults are NOT children.

The bureaucracy (politburo) is put in place not to govern, but to oversee per the agenda of the current regime. I will not put down W for his actions in office, rather I will not apply him to anything conservative. Obama is definitely not conservative, rather very far left. either way, the spending of our money is so far out of control it is obscene. I believe there should be NO subsides what so ever. When the overseers started that practice, it began US' fall into socialism. We are at 75% now and progressing (regressing) further every day. Over regulation of our system has brought us to the near brink of civil war within our own borders again. You may think it cant happen, but just watch the next four years. You cannot trod on the public this way and get away with it for too much longer. That is unless you keep the people down to the street level, and hand out goodies (welfare) ad nauseam (sp). I will not put down corporations or rich people. Im not that envious of wealth.

prober, I agree with all that except if we don't stop using the pesticides that are killing all the bees agriculture could collapse so some subsidies in that area are well founded. Similar to you I didn't vote for W or Obama the 2nd time, Thay all, dem and repub, serve their corporate and billionaire masters. O is as deep in their pocket as was W. The sequestor is real, and no surprise will hurt the 99% while enriching the 1%. When will we stop worshipping these people, stop focusing on distractions like gun control and gay marriage and demand representation rather than propaganda. I'm not holding my breath.

Sarcasm not withstanding, the truth is, we have lived beyond our means, year after year. That DOES include unfunded wars, and unfunded mandates to states. Yes I said two wars that should not have been fought. we should have taken out Hussein in 1990. But that also includes Obamacare, bailing out companies that should have gone under, under normal economic conditions, and multitudes of subsides. We do not need to subsidize: corn, oil, milk, bees, llama ranchers, pig ranchers, chicken farms and the list goes on and on. You too bjccd5 are part of the public. Although *I* didnt vote for Obama nor W, the second time. So there ya go.

Obama wants a blank check to spend on every pet project he wants. His rhetoric is false, and his intention is to bankrupt the nation. Armageddon is not upon us. the "cut" is not a real cut. Merely a decrease in the increase in spending. The American public is blind and foolish.

There were no real debates before the federal government raised our taxes and lowered our take home pay. Their attitude, as always, is that we can live on less, but they should be able to take as much as they wish, and flush it.
