I always enjoy reading Inseide Dope but am curious as to how Bob got so far off topic from being lost in the wilderness to sticking a tongue on metal in the cold of winter. While one is a serious problem of the times (lost in wilderness) and the other a childhood challenge (tongue on metal), it seems both topics merit their own discussion.

On the later part; I too, stuck my tongue on a frozen pipe, that of a chair lift cross bar (while still going up). To my rescue was the ski patrol behind me that (embarrasing to me) Yelled to the tower attendant to STOP the lift. From there, some warm water and lots of people enjoying their moment of laughter (yet some ticked-off due to the delay in the lift), I was released from the*****chair. Note: I joined the National Ski Patrol @ 15 and logged 500+ hours of service between junior patrol and NSP member of the year. Thank you for 'Frosty receptions'!
