By LOU REUTER, Enterprise Senior Sports Writer LAKE PLACID — Grace Wilkins really wanted to ride in her hometown at the Lake Placid Horse Shows. But up until last week, Wilkins didn’t have a horse. Wilkins, however, found a horse, and as a result, she’s back competing in Lake Placid for the second time in three years. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the 17-year-old rode her new horse for the first time in competition, and she will also be riding in events on Friday and Sunday. “My goal was to find a horse and ride in the Lake Placid Horse Shows,” Wilkins said. “Now that I have a horse, my goal is to just get to know the horse. Obviously, since we’ve just gotten together, I’m not looking to win. I’m just working on developing a bond with my horse.” Two years ago, Wilkins showed for the first time in Lake Placid, riding in the hunter division on a horse she owned named Ollie.
