What North Country Businesses Are Saying

The Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce recently released the findings of a special "Small Business Survey”. In terms of their view on the national economy “50% believe it is ‘stagnant’, 30% believe it is ‘getting worse’, and only 20% believe it is ‘getting better’.

When asked to consider the top issues when it comes to running their business “health insurance costs were number one (66%) closely followed by federal and state spending and taxes (63%). Property taxes were third (34%).”
