| | ASR to run Pullman car near UticaNovember 14, 2012 - Chris MorrisI posted yesterday about two Utica city councilmen who have scheduled a "summit" to discuss the future of rail service on the Adirondack railroad. The same media outlet that reported that story, WKTV of Utica, also reports that the Adirondack Scenic Railroad is already offering Pullman trips into the Adirondacks. "The Adirondack Scenic Railroad is offering trips on its new historic railroad car from the 1920's," the report says. "The Pullman car, which was then converted to a business car in the 1940's, has three bedrooms and bathrooms, a dining room, sitting room, and kitchen." The rail car can carry 10 people and sleep six, WKTV reports. "The railroad company will drive the business car up to the Adirondacks where it will stay for the night and then head home the next day," the reports says. "Renting the business car out for the night begins at $1,000." Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
