DON KASPRZAK ENDORSES MATT DOHENY FOR CONGRESS Plattsburgh mayor lends his support to Republican candidate in advance of Tuesday's election PLATTSBURGH - Plattsburgh Mayor Donald Kasprzak today endorsed Matt Doheny for Congress. "Matt embodies true north country values: He’s worked hard to be successful," said Kasprzak, who has lead the city since 2007. "As a candidate, he’s listened to my concerns as well as those of countless others and offered thoughtful ways he can make a positive difference in Washington. I have the utmost confidence that Matt will be a great representative for the people of Plattsburgh and Northern New York in Congress – and be an advocate for a balanced budget, fewer regulations and more help for small business. I’m happy to give him my endorsement and I look forward to working with him for the betterment of our great city." Doheny said: "I thank the mayor for his support. Unemployment in Clinton County has remained around 9 percent for the three years my opponent has been in Congress. We can do better. I will work hard to make Plattsburgh and Clinton County an attractive place to live and to work. I appreciate the mayor's willingness to give me a chance to pursue that goal in Congress." Plattsburgh is the second largest city in the new 21st Congressional district and home of Doheny's Democratic opponent. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
