Skateboarding stunt lands Judge Judy appearance

September 11, 2012 - Chris Morris
No election news in this post, just thought this article by Thom Randall at the Adirondack Journal was interesting, especially since the Saranac Lake and Lake Placid communities have both been dealing with skateboard park issues in recent years.

In short, two young men from the Lake George area will appear on Judge Judy this afternoon along with a business owner who sued them for damages because they used one of his tables for a skateboarding trick.

The business owner won his case and was awarded $3,000 in damages, much more than what he originally sought in town court. He reportedly had promised to donate some of those proceeds to an effort to develop a skateboard park, but that hasn't happened yet.
