Long takes U.S. Senate primary

The Associated Press just called the U.S. Senate primary for New York City lawyer Wendy Long.

She leads Congressman Bob Turner and Nassau Comptroller George Maragos by a 55 to 34 to 11 percent margin, respectively.

Long will take on U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, a Democrat, in this fall's general election.
