Gillibrand fires back at Cenedella

January 31, 2012 - Chris Morris
In that previous post, I referenced Marc Cenedella, one of two GOP challengers to U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand. As I noted, George Maragos picked up an endorsement from a Conservative Party boss.

I blogged about Cenedella a few weeks ago when he attacked Gillibrand for her support of the Protect IP Act.

After that post went live, I received this response from Gillibrand spokesman Glen Caplin:

"Marc Cenedella is grasping at straws to change the conversation from his offensive blog posts that are unfit for any office. The question isn't about the difference of opinion they have with people like the Republican dean Peter King on the substance of legislation intended to protect New York jobs. This question is about Marc Cenedella's character and his lack of judgment as a CEO. There were almost as many excuses yesterday as there are offensive blog posts about sex and drugs by Cenedella. The question is will Ed Cox continue to stand by a potential candidate who won't deny he's responsible for such sexist and offensive material?"

Caplin is talking about some illicit blog posts that were reportedly authored by Cenedella. You can read more about it here.
