School board VP asking about PILOT

January 5, 2012 - Jessica Collier
So I meant to mention this this morning, but I've been MIA all day. But anyway, last night at the Tupper Lake Central School District school board meeting, board VP Dan Mansfield said he wants to start talking about the ACR PILOT.

"That's going to be something that we're going to have to look at or start talking about if the program gets through," Mansfield said.

He said he knows the school board will have a hand in that, since the PILOT that's been proposed would cover school taxes as well as county and town taxes. It's been a while since it's come up, and he said he'd like to start thinking about it again.

"I just would like to bring that up that we haven't had a discussion about that for a while now and as it's becoming closer and closer, I think that maybe we should," he said.
