Ski with Owens

If you feel like getting some constituent services and hitting the slopes in one trip, head over to Malone tomorrow.

U.S. Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, will make a two stops in the Malone area, starting with a visit to the Titus Family Ski Center from 1 to 2 p.m. Owens spokesman Sean Magers said in a press release that the congressman will join the new owners -- Brian, Bruce and Chris Monette -- for lunch and a brief tour of the center's lower lodges.

The Monettes also own the Holiday Inn Express in Malone, as well as the Adirondack Family of Companies.

From 2:15 to 3 p.m., Owens will visit the Nicci's/Flaubert building site across from the Franklin County Court House.

No word on whether Owens will gear up for a few runs at Titus.
