Friday meeting wrap-up

November 18, 2011 - Jessica Collier
I'm not going to write a full wrap-up of today's meeting, because I have to hurry up and write my stories for tomorrow's paper and get on the road. The Collier family is having Thanksgiving at Grandma's house in Peekskill this weekend, and I am headed down tonight once I'm done work!

So suffice to say that today's meeting went quickly. Staff tackled the sticky issues 5 and 6, which include money issues and potential postive and negative impacts on the municipalities. Oh, and wetlands, Read Road, potential visual impacts and stormwater issues. Nbd. (Just kidding, they are a big d.)

After that, the board and staff discussed a bit about the process moving forward. Staff are going to put together answers to the more than 100 questions commissioners had yesterday and today, and they're going to send them on to commissioners as they come to them. Commissioners are also going to be sending questions to staff in the meantime as they're perusing more of the record.

December's meeting will deal with answering more questions, plus it will delve into the draft hearing order, including the list of conditions hearing staff drew up, and connect the things dealt with in it to the various issues.

OK, I have to start writing stories. I hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving! (Though I'm sure I'll be blogging again before then.) (Unless of course your family is cutting edge like mine and you're doing Thanksgiving this weekend instead of on Thursday. In that case, I likely won't be blogging again before then.)
