"I am fully supportive of this project. I believe this is a turning point for Tupper Lake, and it's a turning point that we need." Another senator asked her, "I just don't understand. How did all those people get to live in the Adirondack Park." She said, "They were here first." Tupper Lake was here first. We dream about having jobs for our children. I believe that this project will bring people. It will bring jobs - many different kinds - retail, plumbers, visitors. "We have a great community. We want more people to enjoy that community." But this is private land. It won't spring up all at the same time. We need to make a living, and this is one opportunity on private land where we can make a difference.
