| | Fred MonroeMarch 16, 2011 - Jessica CollierExecutive Director of Adirondack Park Local Review Board We believe the ACR project will create much needed jobs. We do believe that reasonable conditions are needed, to protect the resources, but not conditions that would affect the feasibility of the project. Ask commissioners that too many people work in the public sector - 44 % in Franklin County, not even counting public education sector. Also remember that school populations declining, young people are leaving, average age is decreasing. Also remember that more than 2.5 million acres are nonbuildable already in the Park, much more is covered by conservation easements, and much other land is not buildable for other reasons - terrain, private easements, etc. Take a broader view, not just flora and fauna arguments. Think about the potential prosperity. Use it as an opportunity to show that the board cares for the people of the Park as much as they do for the flora and fauna.
