Voters for Change show Earth Day film April 22

To the editor:

I write on behalf of your friends at Voters for Change to invite you to a showing of the documentary film, “The Age of Consequences,” which will be shown on Monday, April 22, at 7 p.m., in the John Black Room at Historic Saranac Lake (89 Church St.).

This is a timely and informative presentation on climate change from an unusual viewpoint.  The U.S. Military, over the past few years, rates climate change as the number one threat to our national security.  We learn from military analysts about the connections between climate change and human migration, as severe droughts as well as extreme storms drive populations to flee into other lands.

The material is presented with a calm and careful authority, so you will have a chance to deepen your understanding of this important subject.

Following the film there will be a brief discussion and some refreshments served.  The film is offered freely, but we will happily receive donations to help us defray our expenses.
