Wonderful walk

To the editor:

On behalf of the Essex County Health Department Women, Infants and Children Program and the Essex County Breastfeeding Coalition, I would like to thank everyone who donated to and participated in the World Breastfeeding Walk Around the Block Party on Aug. 3. We had a great turnout!

I would especially like to thank the agencies who came out to share information. Their involvement helped make the day a success: Adirondack Community Action Program, Adirondack Health Institute, Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth, Child Care Coordinating Council of the North Country, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Essex County Health Department Preventive Services, Essex County Health Department Childrens Services, Elizabethtown Community Hospital, Zonta Club of the Adirondacks, SAIL, Literacy Volunteers, Fidelis Care, Families First, Essex County Sheriff’s Office, Essex County Mental Health, and Essex County Office for the Aging. The passion of these agencies was overwhelming, and it is gratifying to know there is such a willingness on their part to support projects in the community where they are located. Special thanks to Zach Clark, Greg Borzilleri, Valerie Gregory, Kinney and Tops of Elizabethtown. Special thanks to Essex County Buildings and Grounds! We could not have done it without out any of them!
