Louis Vuolo

Louis Vuolo, 62, of Plantation, Florida, passed away on Nov. 17, 2018, with family and loved ones by his side.

Lou was born on July 7, 1956 in Brooklyn and raised in Hollbrook, Long Island. He lived much of his adult life in Bloomingdale and then moved to Plantation, Florida in more recent years. Lou graduated from NCCC, became a registered nurse and excelled as a psychiatric nurse at CVPH and Adirondack Medical Center. He also instructed in the nursing program at NCCC and trained generations of area nurses. While living in Florida, he was employed at Aventura Hospital.

Lou enjoyed cooking, being around family and friends, playing the guitar, and riding motorcycles. When being tailgated, he slowed down with great pleasure.

He is survived by his son, Jake Vuolo, his wife, Donna Marie Vuolo, stepdaughters Jennifer Cohen and Savannah Cohen, his stepdaughters, Natasha McDole, Kristy McDole, and stepson, Morgan McDole, his nieces, Kelly Tobiere and Sandy Riley, three step grandchildren, 700 students, very close friends and Sweetie the cat.

Lou is predeceased by his parents, Louis and Teresa Vuolo, his niece Tammy, and by his two sisters: Carol and Rose.
