Wilbur J. Lamica

Wilbur J. Lamica, 95, of Tupper Lake passed away, Sunday Aug. 5, 2018 at his home.

Born July 4, 1923 in Tupper Lake, he was the son of Wilbur and Pearl (Farmer) Lamica.

Wilbur was valedictorian of the HGA class of 1942. He was employed as a mechanic and later foreman at the O.W.D. Corporation, retiring in 1985. Wilbur was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake.

He was the patriarch of the Lamica family, being always very generous and thoughtful to his siblings.

He is survived by one brother, Ronald, and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers: Irvin and Arlen; and three sisters: Joan Denis, Lois LaFountain and Joyce Savage.

Calling hours are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Friday, Aug. 10, at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
