SARANAC LAKE – Tonight’s Saranac Lake Art Walk, held from 5 to 7 p.m. in downtown Saranac Lake, will welcome contemporary folk singer/songwriter Phil Henry to Berkley Green.

Henry is that rare contemporary folk artist who will impress you from every direction. He is an old-school storyteller who builds songs from a place of honesty.

Carol Vossler from Bluseed Studios will also be at Berkley Green with her pottery wheel and will invite hands-on participation.

Kids can make art, too. This month Alice LaDue will return with her cool duct tape creations. Gwen and Liesl Haney will be presenting paint, crayon and marker on construction paper creations. All money from the sales of their creations will be donated to the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge in Wilmington. At the Cantwell Room of the Saranac Lake Free Library you can view Librarys Rock: Summer Reading Kids Art Project.

Barry Lobdell’s photography will be featured at the Adirondack Artist Guild and Nori’s Village Market. Susan Whiteman’s luminous landscapes and florals will be shown at NorthWind Fine Arts Gallery.

Find out what Slow Fashion, Refashion and Upcycle mean and join the party at Art at the Pink House on Woodruff St! We’ll be making clothes from reused fabrics, mending with embroidery, turning old jeans into cool bags, and more. Try your hand at keeping fashion sustainable, low cost and fun — and for free.

LeeAnn Sporn will have an opening reception at Pendragon Theatre.

Drop in at Essential Holistic Health at 41 St. Bernard St., Suite 4 for an Open House and a viewing of Chrissy Thomsen’s photography.

The Rusty Nail will host an open mic night. Musicians are invited to come and share a song or two. View the art and crafts that will be on display while you listen.

In addition, authors, crafts people and musicians will be lining Main Street and Broadway.
