Community Theatre Players’ ‘She Loves Me’ continues this weekend at Pendragon

SARANAC LAKE — The Community Theatre Players are thrilled to present the fabulous musical “She Loves Me” (book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock) as its spring musical offering this year.

This romantic musical has been charming audiences since it premiered on Broadway in 1963 with the most recent revival just last year.

Those familiar with the films “The Shop Around the Corner” or “You’ve Got Mail” will already be familiar with the basic plot of She Loves Me. Budapest shop employees Georg Nowack and Amalia Balash who, despite being consistently at odds with each other at work, are unaware that each is the other’s secret pen pal met through ads for a Lonely Hearts Club. This along with hilarious subplots all ensure an incredibly entertaining night at the theatre.

CTP’s She Loves Me is directed by Jason Brill, with music direction by Joey Izzo, set and costume design by Kent Streed and lighting design by Bonnie B. Brewer. The cast features many of your favorite North Country performers, including Lucky Cerruti, Dylan Van Cott, Peggy and Natalie Orman, Sunny Rozakis, Jameson Batt, Erin Quonce, Will Gray, McCayla Quinn, George Carl Cordes, Antonio Villani, Jonathan Wright, Lonnie Ford, Jason Brill and Olivia Zeis.

“She Loves Me” will be performed at Pendragon Theatre on May 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m. and May 28 at 2 p.m.

Tickets cost $20 for adults and $16 for children and seniors.
