Old Ray Brook Road closed for now
RAY BROOK — Old Ray Brook Road was closed Thursday due to a culvert replacement, according to an Essex County notice.
Through traffic was no longer allowed on the road, on which lie the driveways to two prisons — one state, one federal — as well as many residences and the Scarface Mountain trailhead.
The county notice said the road is “Closed 1/4 from Sunoco end and closed 1.5 miles from Saranac Lake side.”
