Sign ups available for Lake Placid Summer Youth Commission Program

LAKE PLACID – The Lake Placid Summer Youth Commission Program is is open to all youth age 5 through 14.

Activities include swimming and swimming lessons, field trips to miniature golf at Pirates Cove, bowling at Bowlwinkles, the Lake Placid Center for the Arts, the Lake Placid Public Library and a day at Ausable Point.

The 2018 program will be held at the Lake Placid Middle/High School starting Monday, June 25 and will run seven weeks until Aug. 10. The program runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Applications may be picked up in the North Elba Town Office located on the first floor of the town hall. The application deadline is Friday, July 6.

Anyone wanting to sign up their child after June 22 can do so by stopping by the program at the Lake Placid Middle/High School.

There is an open house scheduled for June 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the North Elba Town Hall located at 2693 Main St.

Staff members will be there to answer questions.
