The state Department of Environmental Conservation will offer three licensing exams in August, with a registration deadline near the end of July.

Exams for wildlife rehabilitator, leashed tracking dog handler and apprentice falconry licenses will be held around the state on Aug. 10 at most DEC regional offices. The exams will run from 10 a.m. to noon, and the application deadline is July 20.

The DEC is offering free exam guides, which, along with the applications, are available on the DEC’s website at www.dec.ny.gov/permits/359.html.
