More snow on the way today into Wednesday

ALBANY (AP) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the state is preparing for the third major storm to hit New York this month, with forecasts calling for the latest nor’easter to drop up to a foot of snow in the Adirondacks and Long Island’s East End.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory, which is in effect until 8 a.m. Wednesday with a total snow accumulation of 5 to 8 inches expected in the Adirondacks, St. Lawrence Valley and Champlain Valley.
