A winter storm watch is in effect from late tonight through late Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service reports that heavy snow is possible. People should plan on difficult travel conditions including during the morning commute on Tuesday.

Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are possible with the highest totals expected across southern Vermont. Heavy snow is predicted for portions of central, northeast, northwest and southern Vermont and northern New York from late tonight through late Tuesday night.

Significant reductions in visibility are possible.
