Tupper town budget passes with no resistance
TUPPER LAKE — The town board approved a $2.4 million budget for next year Thursday evening, staying below the state’s 1.84 percent tax cap and having $30,000 extra.
Board members were happy the budget was rearranged, nullifying the need for a local law previously passed to override the tax cap. They voted to rescind that law in its Oct. 9 meeting.
With no members of the community to comment, the budget passed with no opposition.
