Two motorcycle fatal collision Sunday afternoon in North Hudson
The Essex County Coroner’s Office and state police are investigating a two motorcycle fatal collision, which occurred in the town of North Hudson at about 2 p.m. Sunday.
The investigation indicates Paul Boivin of Addison, Vermont, was eastbound on Tracy Road when he failed to negotiate a steep right-hand curve, causing him to cross the center line and strike an uninvolved Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Randolph Lapier of Mineville. Lapier was airlifted to University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. Boivin was transported to Elizabethtown Community Hopsital and was pronounced dead.
An autopsy for Boivinis scheduled for Tuesday at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the state police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
