MALONE — State Assemblyman Billy Jones held an open house at his new district office here Friday.

The Democratic legislator’s new office is located in the Franklin County Courthouse building at 353 West Main St., Suite 252, Malone. It will function much like his Plattsburgh office, helping residents connect with state agencies, find legislative solutions to community issues or assist constituents with other needs.

“I was born and raised in Chateaugay and served as chairman of the Franklin County Legislature, so it’s really important to me to have a home base here,” Jones said in a press release. “This North Country district covers a lot of area, but each and every one of my constituents deserves to have their voices heard and the opportunity to connect with me. This new office will help ensure that.”

Jones is currently on a districtwide tour of the 37 towns he represents to meet with officials and residents and hear their feedback. He encourages anyone with questions or concerns to reach out to one of his district offices at 518-483-4035 for Franklin County or 518-562-1986 for Clinton County, or via mail at jonesb@nyassembly.gov.
