Two injured as motorcyclists collide
SARANAC LAKE — Two New Hampshire residents were taken to the hospital after their motorcycles collided just outside the village Saturday afternoon.
Pierre D. Blanchette, 68, of Goffstown, New Hampshire, was operating a 2014 Harley Davidson west on state Route 3, about a mile west of the Second Pond Boat Launch, when he slowed to turn into a parking area on the right shoulder of the road, according to state police.
That’s when police said Paul J. Bresciano, 47, of Hollis, New Hampshire, operating a 2007 Harley Davidson, struck the back tire of Blanchette’s motorcycle. Blanchette was ejected on the road, and his bike kept going another 270 yards down the road until it went off the left shoulder and hit a tree.
Bresciano fell on the right side of his bike and was ejected on to the road. Both men complained of back injuries and were transported by the Saranac Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad to Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, where they were treated and released.
The motorcycles were towed from the scene. No tickets were issued, police said.
